Application Review Process:

The Sacramento Angels meet 10 times per year. Two or three companies present their business plans at each meeting. If there is sufficient interest, a SacAngel member is assigned to a presenter company and co-ordinates further due dilligence. A company presentation may or may not lead to financial negotiations and investment by SacAngel members.

All applications are carefully reviewed and go through a comprehensive initial screening process by the Sacramento Angels Selection Committee. We use Angelsoft to screen and move all applications through our selections process. The SacAngels membership is notified of all application postings and updates.

The Selections Committee meets two weeks prior to a Sacramento Angels' general membership meeting. At that time, the Committee makes the final selection of company presenters for the next general meeting.

Application Selection Criteria:

The Sacramento Angels accepts applications for review from entrepreneurs who substantially meet the following criteria:

  • Growing market/business opportunity with a potential of generating $50 to $100 Million in annual revenues over first 3-5 years
  • A compelling, well articulated strategy for capturing and defending a significant market share
  • Strong barriers to entry such as Proprietary Technology (IP), unique marketable solution or business leadership
  • Key management positions in place (not necessarily a complete team) with relevant and successful track record.
  • Capital needs, not to exceed $2 M, sufficient to accomplish significant milestones and attract the next level of funding
  • The company has completed or is far along towards completing prototype /beta version of their product
  • Exit Strategy for investors
  • Northern California Location

  • 2) Go to the Apply section of this website and begin the application process

No company will be considered as a presenter without a completed Information Form, non-refundable $55 fee payment, and uploaded Executive Summary.

Non-Disclosure Agreements: The group and its members do not sign non-disclosure agreements for presenting companies. There are no exceptions.
